K9 Rescue Group Inc. are a not-for-profit organisation established in 1990 to rescue, care for and rehome dogs. We strive to educate the community about responsible dog ownership and we provide a regional service in Western Australia to the Peel, Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas. The majority of dogs we rescue come from the pound and since our humble beginnings we now rehome approximately 500 – 600 dogs each year.
K9 Rescue Group is run almost entirely through the wonderful efforts of our many volunteers (including our Committee) with only 3 paid employees, our Office Administrator, Kennel Manager and Caretaker. This enables us to keep our administration costs low so that the majority of our funds are able to be used for the benefit of the dogs in our care. We are passionate about creating an environment where a dog is treated as a rightful and respected member of the community and seek to promote the significant benefits that pet ownership brings to the community.
Funds will aid in the general care of the dogs, maintenance of the kennels, promoting responsible dog ownership through sterilization and vaccinations, fundraising events etc…
